Soccer News!!

Way back in May Britton's soccer team won the Championship game! Their team took 1st place overall, WAHOO!! I didn't even get a picture. I can't believe it but it was a very proud moment.
Also in May we went to Flagstaff AZ for a soccer tournament. I'm not sure what happened but the boys didn't play very well. It was OK though, we still had a TON of fun. My Parents and my Brother were able to go and we always enjoy the company of our friends that are on the team as well. 

We always do a team dinner after the first day of games. The boys have so much fun. I think it's great that they get to spend time together just being boys off of the field. You can't see this picture very well but they all picked up Britton.  So funny! This was the last game of the season so we will have a small break......until tryouts.

Thank goodness that Lauryn's Brother is on the team. Isaac and Britton have become very good friends and that means Lauryn is always around for Shay. Whenever we do something with soccer I know Shay will never be bored because Lauryn will be there. I LOVE that!

Back in July Britton had soccer tryouts. At the end of every season they have to tryout for the team again. Your position is never guaranteed. Fortunately Britton made it, as well as all of his close Friends so we are looking forward to another season. Unfortunately we lost 2 boys on the team but we gained one new one....looking forward to seeing what that does for our team.  Games will start up again around August 15th......I can't wait!
In other soccer related news.......
Tyler and Britton got to go to Salt Lake for the USA game. It was the World Cup qualifier. We gave Britton the tickets for his Birthday. He was so excited and had so much fun.

I'm so glad we were able to do this for Britton. It was a very special day for him......Tyler too!

That was a BLAST!

We have been having so much fun the last few days. It's been busy, but that's the way I like it!!

It all started off with another award ceremony at school for both of my kids! They both have had quite a few awards this year. I'm so proud of them!! Shayna got her award for perseverance. Her teacher had a lot of nice things to say about her but what stood out most to me was when she said Shayna is a leader not a follower. What an amazing girl I have!

Britton's award was for academic excellence. It doesn't get any better then that! He also received an award from the librarian. He is such a good kid and I couldn't be more proud!

Friday morning my parents, brother and Grandma came in town to support the kiddo's in their weekend activities. The kids were at school so we all headed out to the M casino. Of course I couldn't win anything but Shane did. He won 103 dollars. But I'm not surprised, that kid has the most amazing luck. Friday night Shay had a swim meet. She swam Freestyle and Backstoke. Backstroke she took first in her heat and tenth overall. In Freestyle she took third in her heat and tenth overall. Every time she swims she beats her personal time. She is doing a great job.
Saturday afternoon Britton had a soccer game. They won 3-0 to a team that we have never won. It was a really fun game to watch. They also had a game last Wednesday to an undefeated team. The boys had a great game and ended up winning 3-0!!! Britton had two assists and one goal! After the game my Family headed home and we went to a soccer team Bar-B-Q. Our friends from Arizona were in town so we invited them over to the BBQ as well. We ended up turning the BBQ into a pretty amazing party. We had so much fun!
Sunday.....HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
We spent our day with the Nunez's (friends from AZ) and the Kerner's (friends that host all of our party's) at lake mead.  The weather was soooo hot so it was the perfect day to spend at the lake.

Shayna was finally reunited with her best-ies from AZ. She was so happy to see them and soooo sad when they had to leave.

 Austen and Britton had some pretty major mud fights.

 I'm pretty sure I could spend everyday at the lake and never get sick of it.

House news......it's getting closer. You can't really see it but the sheet rock is up. YEAH!!

Growing

My baby is 6 months old. He has grown so much, he is already so big and he's not full grown yet....CRAZY!

He is such a crazy, playful dog with way too much energy.

Our new house is growing too.

Our final walk through date is July 19th. I can't wait!!

The house!

It's moving right along. I'm getting so excited. We just had our design appointment where we got to pick our flooring, cabinetry and granite and what ever upgrades we wanted. I'm a little nervous about our choices. I hope it all works out the way I envisioned it.

I seriously can't wait until it's done. I am soooo sick of living in this apartment. SERIOUSLY, enough already!!

Unbelievable!

I can NOT believe my baby turned 9. How crazy is that?

Shayna's Birthday was on a Thursday this year. Thursday's are one of our busiest days. All we could do was hurry and open her present, eat dinner and then head our separate ways. Tyler took Britton to soccer and I took Shay to swimming.

Shayna decided not to have a friend party this year and we had a busy week so we told her we could celebrate her Birthday ALL WEEKEND long. Friday night Shay had a swim meet! This is the first time she swam with her new team. She had to swim 50's so her race included the flip turn. And she was swimming against 10 year olds. She did so good. She swam the Butterfly and Freestyle. She took 2nd in Butterfly in her heat and 1st in Freestyle in her heat. However overall she didn't place that well. I thought she did really well but she was so bummed. She even begged me not to blog about it but after talking to her she said it would be ok. She is very hard on herself. She took 11th and 14th. Swimming against 35 other girls I think she placed really well.
Saturday morning Britton had a soccer game. They ended up losing. so sad. But after the game we headed to the lake. Shayna loves to go to the lake with her dog! This is what she chose to do as part 1 of her Birthday celebration.

We were there ALL DAY LONG and had so much fun! We will be doing this a lot during the summer.....I can't wait!
Unfortunately Part 2 of the Birthday celebration didn't go according to plan. We were supposed to go to adventure dome but........

Shay got so sick. It was so sad. She was so excited to go to adventure dome. We will be taking her in a couple of weeks to make up for it. Poor girl.

Happy Birthday Shayna! You are such a special little girl and I am so thankful you are mine!!

My new house!!

It just got started last week. I'm so excited! The next 90 day is going to seem like an eternity.

5 Months old

He just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I'm excited to say that he will be going to obedience school here pretty soon. He's going to be the best Pup ever!
