Swim meets and party's

Shayna has had two swim meets since I last posted. One the week before the Flagstaff Tournament and one this last weekend. Both meets were very important. She had an opportunity in both of those meets to qualify for State Championships. During the BCH Desert Invitational, Which was a one day event, she was able to qualify for State Championships in her 100 Breast stroke, 50 Breast stoke and 50 Butterfly!! During the Desert Storm Invitational, which was a two day event She was able to qualify for the 100 IM. The IM is all four strokes in one race.
State Championships here we come!

Saturday after the swim meet we headed over to Britton's soccer game. This was the first game of the season. They won 3-1. Can't ask for a better way to start the season then with a win!!

Unfortunately the second day of the swim meet was canceled because of a power outage. They are going to re-schedule it and hopefully she will qualify for her freestyle and backstroke. If not that is OK. She qualified for four events which is AMAZING. She has only been swimming for 10 months!!

Since the meet was canceled on Sunday we were able to make it to my Cousins Son's Birthday Party. the kids were so excited.
You would think that Shayna would have had enough of swimming, but no, she was so excited that Cole was having a swim party!
We had a fun weekend and we were so glad that my parents were able to be with us.

Flagstaff Soccer Tournament

Last weekend we went to Flagstaff AZ for Britton's soccer tournament. The boy's didn't do that well. I think the altitude gets to them. We tied our first game and lost the next two games. We still had a ton of fun though. The weather was absolutely beautiful in the mornings, which, fortunately for us was when all of our games were scheduled. By the time noon hit the clouds starting rolling in and it rained.....hard....everyday. Some games even got rained out because of the lightning.
We were invited to the Coaches cabin while we were there to watch the Mayweather fight so we spent Saturday evening at the cabin and didn't get back to our hotel room until around 11 PM. Around 4 AM I woke up sick and started throwing up around 7 AM. We had to pack up and leave our hotel room at 9:30 AM so it's a good thing I started feeling better and was able to shower and make it to the field for our last game on time. I have no idea what happened to me but I was only sick for like 4 hours....so weird.
Soccer season is now under way and my schedule got a whole lot fuller. I'm looking forward to it!

Shayna's new glasses

Shayna got her new glasses! They look so cute on her. Hopefully these ones will last longer then 9 months. We learned our lesson. Nothing of value gets left out any more and when we leave, Chopper goes to his kennel. I tried to avoid that because I feel so bad making him lay in his kennel when we are gone but until he learns not to destroy things that is where he will be. :(

Swimming, swimming and more swimming.

This has become such a huge commitment. The fact that Shay loves it so much makes it easy for me but I'm not gonna lie. It's tough sitting there so long. Every day for an hour and a half in the heat is hard and now we have added Saturdays to the mix. Saturday practices are and hour and forty five minutes. YIKES! Good thing her best friends are there with her. On top of it all Shay has swimmers ear. Of course, right before a swim meet. We caught it early though so she only has to stay out of the water for one day.

Between Britton's soccer and Shay's swimming we are super busy. This weekend Shay has a swim meet. The next week Britton has a soccer tournament in Arizona. Shay is missing a swim meet and a Saturday practice so that we can go support Britton and then the following weekend we have another swim meet. Crazy busy month for us. I'm not complaining though. I really do love it!!

Worst.Dog.EVER!

I believe it is our fault......A while back the kids and I went to Saint George to visit my Parents and we left Chopper home with Tyler. Tyler had to work and ended up working way longer hours then we had anticipated. Long story short. Chopper didn't like it very much and since then, whenever we leave him, even for a few minutes, he chews up EVERYTHING.

This one made me the maddest.
Shayna's glasses that were not even a year old. And of course it happened on the second day of school. I called her Eye Doctor and they got her in right away.
The Doctor laughed so hard when he walked in and saw her trying to wear her glasses. She told him it was really hard to see the chalk board.

She picked out some really cute new glasses. Hopefully she gets them soon!!

Chopper is now enrolled in obedience classes. Keep your fingers crossed that he will graduate in 6 weeks.......Naughty dog.
