It wasn't supposed to be like this!

We were supposed to be on our way to Utah today for our vacation. Tyler woke up about 3:30 this morning sicker then I have seen him in a LONG time. I started with it about 6:00 AM. At 6:40 I had to get up and start getting the kids ready for school. I had to take a garbage bag with me so I wouldn't puke in the car. YUCK! It was awful. I'm just hoping the kids don't get it so we can start our vacation tomorrow.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Winter what?

I was shocked when I walked out my door this morning. The sprinklers were on. It is almost Christmas and the lawns are still being mowed and watered! CRAZY!
Apparently in our area we have a winter watering schedule. I have never heard of such a thing. I absolutely love the weather here and have completely adapted to the heat. Now that the weather has dropped down to the 60's I am FREEZING. We finally turned on our heat last night. I can't believe we almost made it through December without turning on the heater and we are all just wearing hoodies, no winter coats for us!
Tomorrow we head for Utah. My kids are so excited for the snow.....I am NOT! I will never miss snow although I do love it on Christmas!!

Rugrats Tournament

Well, we had another great weekend. My Parents came for a visit. They wanted to see Shay swim on Friday night (just a practice) and Britton's team was in the Rugrats Tournament. They played a total of three games and Britton and Jack were the team captains....

 The first day of the tournament there was a professional photographer there. He took a bunch of pictures and charged $7.50 per print or $27 for all of the pictures of your kid. When the photographer found out who my kid was he told me I would be getting a good deal. He said he couldn't stop taking pictures of Britton. He thought he was a great player and ended up taking 32 pictures of him!! And they are all great pictures. I only put on a few here.

See the guy sitting behind Britton in black. That's Rudy Ruettiger. Ya know the Rudy that was the football player for Notre Dame. Yes, that's the one. They made a movie about him. Anyway his son is on Brittons team. Pretty cool huh. At first I thought he was the Grandpa, but nope, he is the Dad!!

So the boy's ended up winning the first game 4-0 and the second game was a tie at 0-0. That gave the boys enough points to move on to the second day.

The second day was a freaking joke. We played a team that we have previously played and we won them 5-0. We were winning the first half 1-0 but in the second half they decided to cheat. They recruited boys from the tournament in a higher bracket and had them sitting and waiting in case they were needed. We ended up losing 4-1. I won't go into details but after talking to the ref's and doing some digging we did find out that they did in fact cheat. We are now waiting to hear back  from the tournament officials. It was sooooo frustrating to sit through that game but it's over now and the boys took third place which we are all very happy with!!
I'm proud of they boys just letting it go and happily accepting their third place pins. Good job boys!

It's been a while....

It's been a while since I have posted anything about Hilda. She is just so cute I should take more pictures of her. She ALWAYS sleeps with Britton. Britton has a million stuffed animals on his bed and I guess it just makes Hilda feel at home.
