State Championships have finally arrieved!
Shayna got so much support at her swim meet. She wanted me to Thank everyone who came. It made her feel very special. Thank you so much to Grandma and Grandpa Turner, Uncle Shane, Grandma Donna, Uncle Roger and Ron, Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Vicky and Cole and Cheyanne. We really appreciate all of the support you show Shayna!
The night before the meet we painted Shayna's finger nails in the BCH colors. Red and Blue and in silver writing we wrote State Champ. They turned out really cute!
Of course no party is complete without a pinata.....or 4!
Thank you Roger and Ron for always making things so special and fun. The kids absolutely loved this surprise and will never forget it. You guys are the BEST!!
Shayna's second day of races was loaded. I knew she was going to get tired. But she got through it and did a fantastic job. She continued to shave time and did better then expected.
She swam the 50 Butterfly, 50 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke and 100 freestyle. How could she not be tired after that? This was such a fun and stressful swim meet. Just the fact that she made it to State is a huge accomplishment. I am so proud of her. The meet was a four day meet but Shay only swam two of the days. So on Monday while everybody else was swimming we got Roger, Ron and Grandma to hang out with us for the day. We went to Yogurt Land, then headed out for some miniature golf. In the swimmers goodie bag we got a coupon for this mini golf course so we thought we would give it a try......never again. But we had fun anyway!
Then we went to a late lunch and headed back to my house to play cards. Shayna's new favorite game is 21. We played it a lot this weekend.
The kids had to go back to school on Tuesday and Roger, Ron and Grandma left to go visit my Parents in Saint George so now we are back to our same old routine.....it was fun while it lasted!!

The first day of the meet she swam the 50 Breast stroke and the 100 IM. She did amazing on both of them. If you shaved time off of your personal record you got a little finger puppet. Out of the 6 races that Shay was in, she came home with five new personal records. How cool is that?!
Roger and Ron couldn't make it in time to see the first day of races but they made it to my house before we did. When we got there the house was all decorated and he was making us a big Mexican Fiesta Dinner.

Britton wouldn't let me take a picture of him so I had to snap a shot while he was talking to me..LOL! |

BCH Volunteers
BCH Heatwave is hosting the State Championship swim meet this year so I volunteered to help out with the goodie bag stuffing. We have 900 swimmers coming from all over the State. So we have to make 900 bags.
While I was stuffing away the kids were making BCH signs to hang up around the pool to show our support for our team.
Britton even got in on the action.
Thank you LeeAnn for supplying the paint and paint brushes. This was so much fun for the kids and all of the posters turned out great!

These three beauty's have worked so hard to be part of the State swim team. And they did it!! I am so proud of all of them. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be where they are. What amazing kids!
Shayna will be swimming the 50 Breast stroke, 100 Breast stroke, 50 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle, 100 IM and the 50 Back stroke.
Shayna we are so proud of you. This is a huge accomplishment that has paid off by your hard work and dedication. I can't wait to see what happens at State!

Happy Halloween!
The kids Pumpkins turned out really cute this year. We pretty much have to carve pumpkins last minute because it is still so warm here that the pumpkins rot within two days. CrAzY!
Britton went with a big nosed Cyclops.....
Shayna wanted the word Boo.......
We had to dress Chopper up for his first ever Halloween. He was Captain America. He walked all around the neighborhood with the kids and was so well behaved. I was so proud of him.
Shayna was a dark angel and Britton was a warewolf.
We invited the Kerner's to go Trick-or-Treating with us. We all went out for a while then came home for a drink and a snack then headed back out. They came home with so much candy.
We have NEVER had this much candy before. We even got some king sized candy bars. That's when the kids finally decided they LOVE our neighborhood......yay for that!
